History of Scorvidia

The Great Scorvidian Empire of Greater Kollme and the Duchy of Kakks is over five years old since the Scorvidian territiories broke off from the United Kingdom and declared themselves independent on 6th August 2017. The original territories were Greater Tolve and Western Kollme, located in the North and Midlands of England respectively. The territiories were immediately formed into the Independent and Sovereign Great Scorvidian Empire of Greater Tolve and Western Kollme, with Greater Tolve declared as the capital and HGM Theodore I proclaimed as Emperor. A black, red and white flag was created to fuse the flags of the two Scorvidian nations. It was inspired by the flag of the country Scorvidia had long been a part of- Britain. Embassies in Bristol and London were soon established on 16th August 2017 to maintain good relations with the UK. This was followed shortly by the establishment of Scorvidia's Spanish Embassy in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

Upon its founding the Empire was immediately met with trouble. Greater Tolve, the nations capital and wealthiest member state, was at risk of being taken back by Britain. Furthermore, Scorvidians living in Western Kollme had had their land split in half upon independence, with the territory of Eastern Kollme still under the control of the British. Nevertheless, Scorvidia received an addition to her Imperial family on 20th March 2018, when the Scorvidian North Sea Colony was claimed. This small colony in the middle of the North Sea received its own unique flag and has become a key part of the Empire.
