The Scorvidian North Sea Colony is Scorvidia's first Colony, claimed as the Empire looks towards growing and expanding. It is a very small, uninhabited piece of land on a former British fortress island located in the North Sea- about 7 miles off the East coast of England. It became a dependency of Scorvidia on 20th March 2018 and was formerly the private property of HGM Theodore l, the Emperor of Scorvidia, before officially becoming a Crown Colony. It provides 0% of Scorvidia's GDP and is extremely challenging to access due to diplomatic issues with the Principality of Sealand, which surrounds the territory on all sides.

The Scorvidian North Sea Colony has its origins in 1942, when the British Government built multiple fortress islands in the North Sea to defend itself against the impending German army. One particular fortress, Fort Roughs, was built illegally 7 miles from the coast of Britain. Since Britain's territorial waters stretched only 3 miles from its coast, Fort Roughs was situated in international waters. After being abandoned in the 1950s and avoiding destruction, Fort Roughs remained extra-national territory.Â
This unique situation allowed a former Major in the British Army, Roy Bates, to acquire the fort on 24th December 1966 in order to broadcast pirate radio outside the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom. However, he instead decided to declare it an independent nation, and, on 2nd September 1967, the Principality of Sealand was declared. Almost 50 years later, on 25th September 2014, HGM Theodore I of Scorvidia purchased a small piece of land from the Government of Sealand, having already been honoured with the title of Baron Theodore of Sealand. This land was declared independent from the Principality of Sealand on 20th March 2018 by the Government of Scorvidia and was immediately incorporated into the Scorvidian Empire as a Colony.
